California-based AccuAir Suspension designs and manufactures Air Suspension Systems for all vehicle types. The Role:
As the Lead Embedded System Engineer at AccuAir Suspension, you will initially work with no more than five other engineers to evolve our adaptive electronic leveling technology for use in emerging market opportunities. You will also design and implement new processes related to manufacturing, documenting, and validating all aspects of our embedded control systems.
Responsibilities:
Master our existing firmware written in C.
Design and program new firmware to grow system capability and user feedback.
Master our existing hardware design in Altium Designer.
Innovate new hardware designs for improved manufacturing and more robust performance.
Adapt firmware and hardware for custom vehicle requirements such as CANbus, OTA firmware updating, etc.
Participate in design and code reviews with both customer and internal Company teams
Work with team to do on-vehicle debugging and system validations.
Design and implement batch boot-loader and end-of-line (EOL) test equipment.
Follow industry standard documentation techniques.
Requirements:
B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
Embedded systems firmware development including:
real-time firmware design
C++, C and assembly languages
Prior experience using embedded processors; e.g. Atmel AVR, Microchip PIC, 8051, ARM, and similar processors
Hardware design experience (schematic and PCB layout) and good working knowledge of digital and analog circuits including power protection, transistors, sensors, and EMI/ESD protection
Networking experience such as CAN/LAN/ethernet.
Excellent communication skills, high energy with an enthusiastic attitude, desire for continued learning, and a willingness to take on difficult technical challenges
Excellent problem solving skills, strong ability to multi-task, establish priorities, and rapidly change direction to meet the needs of a dynamic organization
Ability to work cooperatively in a small team environment
