At Oikocredit International based in Amersfoort, the Netherlands, we are currently looking for a
JUNIOR ANALYST
(36 hours a week)
Responsibilities
The new colleague will be responsible for reviewing the viability of proposals based on an assessment of the financial, social, and technical risks involved. Based on the analysis the junior analyst will submit an opinion on the project to the Credit Committee for consideration in the Committee’s deliberations.  The junior analyst will also be responsible for communicating decisions to the relevant Regional Offices as well as follow-up on any matter determined by the Credit Committee. In addition the person will be contributing to the development and maintenance of different kinds of analysis tools. Finally the junior analyst will be taking minutes in Credit Committee meetings. The Analyst team is part of the Social Performance & Financial Analysis department which is responsible for the capacity building program, social performance management and credit analysis.
Education and experience
Oikocredit is looking for a recently graduated person with a Master in the field of finance, economics, or business administration. We are searching for someone with a proven strong interest, possibly experience in the field of finance/economics in developing countries, specifically microfinance and social entrepreneurship. The new colleague must have a strong affinity with financial analysis and assessment. Strong analytical skills, good communication skills and computer literacy are required. The junior analyst must have a thorough knowledge of English, both verbal and written. Other languages like French and Spanish are considered an asset. This position will not require a lot of traveling.
