Communication Officer CECODHAS Housing Europe

Purpose of the Role:
 Develop internal and external communication strategy and implement it. 

Reports to: Secretary General

General responsibilities:

  • Support Policy and project team to translate advocacy aims and strategies into communication tools; assist development of plans to achieve these aims;
  • Monitor EU policy and legislative proposals potentially relevant to members and inform them;
  • Develop and maintain a communication contact network in the EU institutions;
  • Develop and maintain social media networks on theme within our membership and with partners;
  • Develop our online profile, blog, twitter and website, being responsible for regular updates;
  • Coordinate a network of communication officers of our membership.

Experience, skills, knowledge required:

The ideal candidate will have the following skills, knowledge and experience:
  • University degree in communication, media, or political science with a clear specialisation in media;
  • Proven record of designing and implementing communication strategy in particular with the use of social media;
  • Excellent written and spoken communications & influencing skills;
  • Fluent command of English, with another European language an advantage;
  • Website management skills;
  • A minimum of two year’s experience in a similar position.
CECODHAS offers salary according to experience, 18 month contract initially, renewable, pension and health insurance package.
