Job Purpose |
Successful candidate will be responsible for new business acquisition through focus on Corporate business, OTA’s and “TMC” opportunities to generate maximum profitable revenues and passenger volumes for Etihad Airways throughout the Central Region. Negotiate & account-manage commercial agreements with top national accounts. Frontline position, which would suit a driven, experienced sales professional. Ideally a ‘hunter’ for new business, along with supporting colleagues to maintain business. You will enjoy the opportunity of working with Etihad as a major quality brand in the market.

Responsibilities |
Your responsibilities shall include but not limited to:
Increase penetration and secure business with primary focus on Corporate, TMC, & OTA’s; build and maintain profitable sales & market share for Etihad
Secure business from key segments, including the retail/leisure, wholesale, MICE channels
Drive the successful implementation of corporate initiatives and achieve revenue targets
Ensure sales activity is within cost of sale targets
Ensure Etihad anticipates and/or responds to market & competitor trends, issues, so as to ensure a competitive edge in the market

Requirements |
Educated to degree level or equivalent. Business qualifications an advantage with 6 years sales experience, of which 3 should have been spent at a senior level, within an airline or multinational travel company
Fluent in English
Trained in account management, sales, presentation & negotiation skills
Team leadership skills, positive, energetic, team player, dynamic, and creative
Ability to work under pressure and to respond to short lead times
Self-starter with strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical skills to interpret and ensure positive use of broad range of data and information
Strong PC skills required, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Internet.

Operating Environment |
You will be operating within a pressurized environment, working independently using your own initiative. Working hours can be long and you may be asked to participate in evening customer oriented events and travel as required for training or familiarization visits
