Communications and Support Officer

Starting salary: pro-rata to £22,020, rising annually to £24,049 
  
This is a fixed term appointment until 31 January 2014. 
  
You will be:
  • providing support to the Chief Executive and other senior staff with tasks such as progress chasing, organising meetings and managing diaries
  • supporting communications and media relations, including liaison with ALT’s press function and communication via social media
  • developing, researching and leading on the production of marketing materials for different platforms, including videos, podcasts and blog posts
  • working closely with internal and external partners to collate and write content for project and programme webpages
  • producing marketing materials to input for branding and design for printed and online materials 
  • maintaining and setting up email and other communication lists.
You should have:
  • a degree level qualification or a level 3 office administration / management qualification 
  • experience of supporting distributed programmes involving groups of stakeholder organisations and sector bodies
  • strong time management and organisational skills, and experience of organising a varied workload under pressure
  • excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • strong Microsoft Office and database management skills
  • experience of using web based systems including social media tools and contact management systems
