Job Purpose
The Airframe Technical Records Lead Engineer is responsible for the management and co-ordination of all Airframe Technical Records for the entire fleet completed by participating Etihad departments, designated MRO and Vendors to ensure that all Etihad Airways Technical Records are correctly controlled and managed to ensure compliance with Regulatory Authorities and Company Procedures.
The Airframe Technical Records lead Engineer will be responsible for delegation and monitoring of all functions of the Airframe Technical Records and staff reporting to him/her.
The Airframe Technical Records lead engineer role shall ensure that Etihad Airways Airframe Technical Records are managed and returned at the end of a lease or when sold with coordination of local authority regulations (GCAA) and meet all of the return conditions of the Lessor. Such return conditions must be completed within the time constrains agreed between Etihad Airways and the Lessor or New Owners and within the allocated budget.
Responsibilities
  • To manage a core group of technical records engineers to ensure that all data produced by Contracted MRO, Etihad Line Stations and vendors is reviewed and processed as per company and regulatory requirements
  • Responsible for the review and process control of Airframe related records to ensure that all records produced by Contracted MRO, Etihad Line Stations and Vendors are completed and correct as per company procedures and regulatory requirements
  • To ensure that all Airframe records are available when required by Etihad Quality and local Authority for aircraft reviews and audits
  • To assist in managing the processes in place to ensure the transition of ownership from current contracted company to Etihad is in accordance with agreed time lines and processes
  • To Ensure the Airframe Technical Records are kept in an up to date and agreed format to meet regulatory, lease company and Etihad Quality audits to ensure the continued airworthiness of the fleet
  • Deputies for the Aircraft Records manager
  • Manage Monthly Reports to Etihad departments and lease companies
  • Prepare records for Continuing Airworthiness Review for Quality and Safety
  • Prepare and monitor end of Aircraft lease and lessors requirements. 
Requirements
  • Bachelor degree in the field of Aeronautical, Mechanical or Electrical/Electronic engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years direct job-related experience OR 10 years in aircraft Technical Records/Engineering CAMO/planning in the field of Technical Commercial Aviation and/or, Airline Engineering is generally preferred.
  • Aircraft and aircraft systems certifications, thorough knowledge of Entry Into Service for commercial aircraft as well as the airworthiness authorities regulations, strong technical and aircraft engineering background, skills in aircraft and technical related aircraft project management, especially experience in a multi-cultural working environment.
