Working in partnership with governments and donors Crown Agents supports the modernisation of revenue and customs administrations in line with international best practice and recognised standards of governance, integrity and accountability.
Our client for this assignment is a Francophone West African government engaged in a major reform process including the creation of a Revenue Authority for which we are seeking to identify a suitably qualified and experienced Commissioner-General. Because of the sensitivities of the position we regret that we are not able to identify the client at this stage in the recruitment process.
Applications are invited from highly experienced senior level revenue professionals with a depth of progressive experience gained in government service, enhanced by experience in a revenue authority in a senior capacity (management or advisory). Key selection criteria include demonstrable leadership experience and successful change management of the rationalisation and modernisation of government systems and departments. Although fluency in French and English (spoken, read and written) is very desirable, during shortlisting this will be weighed against specific job competencies and qualifications.
This is a long term (up to four years) contract position, details to be negotiated with the successful candidate. Shortlisted candidates will be provided with additional confidential information.
