Job Purpose
Successful candidate will be responsible for various finance projects and reports that that will make current processes more efficient, effective and in line with Corporate Policy, with a focus on process maturity, costs reduction and delivering prudent accounting practices.
ResponsibilitiesYour responsibilities shall include but not limited to:
  • Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) for all areas of the business (Commercial, Operations and Finance)
  • Engaging all areas of the business to identify risk to delivering costs within budget.
  • Participate in the preparation and review of annual budgets and business plans.
  • Working with line managers and Head Office to ensure Capital Business Cases are robust and deliver on all targets
  • Delivering adhoc financial 'what if' analysis for our Commercial and Ops Team to support business development and decision making
  • Reporting on station performance
  • Mapping of current process and using Lean Methodology to identify process inefficiencies and delivering quick fix solutions.
  • Participate in the preparation of a Business Continuity Plan and hosting on a shared database
  • Supporting other financial reporting staff in delivering the overall objectives of the department.
Requirements
Minimum of a University degree in finance, accounting or business management. (Has attained or working towards a  professionally accounting certification, ACCA, CA, CMA, CIMA, CPA). Minimum 4 to 6 years’ experience in similar position with strong exposure to financial accounting and project management User level training in Oracle Financials or any ERP for AP/AR/GL modules. Fund Management, Credit Management, Revenue Management; IATA rules and regulations. Airline industry experience is an additional advantage
  • Six Sigma training and exposure to Business Process Reengineering is an additional advantage
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an attention to detail
  • MS Word/Excel.
  • Basic Knowledge on Pax and Cargo accounting
  • Strong Knowledge of Aviation specific expenditure profile.
  • Knowledge of local laws, rules and regulations pertaining to finance such as VAT, Income tax, GST, Employer and Employee contributions etc.
  • Must have the right to live and work in the Cyprus
