Job Purpose
The job is existing in order to cater the vehicle maintenance requirements of various EY departments’ vehicles pertaining to regular service, mechanical repairs, accidental repairs, yearly registrations & insurance renewals. Monitor workshop activity to ensure efficient use of time, materials & equipment. Ensure immediate availability of replacement buses for EY Cabin Crew transport during accidents / breakdowns to avoid any disruptions to EY Transport Operations. Execute all the office paper administration work.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure that yearly registrations of EY BUSES and other departmental vehicles are renewed on time and as requested by various EY Departments in line with EY Standards.
  • Ensure timely and proper maintenance / servicing of EY Buses and Vehicles through follow up with the vehicle workshop / service center.  
  • Ensure immediate availability of replacement buses for EY Cabin Crew transport during accidents / breakdowns to avoid any disruptions to EY Transport Operations.            
  • Liaise with the Transport Operations staff in scheduling the appointments with the relevant workshop / agency for vehicle requisitions received from the respective EY divisions.  
  • Estimate time required to complete the vehicle repair jobs and communicate with the End User departments to update them accordingly.
  • Review work in progress and completed work orders to ensure that appropriate repairs were successfully completed and properly documented.
  • Purchase & issue the required spare parts to the workshop, maintain an accurate inventory and ensure that issued spare parts are accounted for accurately on each work order.
  • Perform vehicle inspection / road test upon completion from the workshop / agency        to ensure that the required repair jobs have been fixed prior to returning to the End User.
  • Maintain computerized / manual records on the history of all maintenance performed on a vehicle, keep records of repairs, warranty service, insurance data, registration, inspection and many other statistics.
  • Perform reconciliation and verification of invoices from the workshop, agency and spare parts suppliers to ensure correct costs are billed and there is no duplication of invoices. Specify the user department on the relevant invoices to debit the costs on their cost centers.                               
Requirements
Qualification & Education:
  • Minimum Secondary School certificate
  • Mechanical certificate highly required for this job.

Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 Years’ Experience in the field of vehicle maintenance activity.
  • Ability to assess, identify and assign the required repair, maintenance related vehicle jobs.
  • Ability to identify and fix minor mechanical issues.

Training & Knowledge: 
  • Basic Training for all transportation routes related to Etihad Offices and other important locations within UAE.
  • Knowledge of the local auto repair workshops, prices and auto spare parts suppliers.
  • Knowledge of important locations and routes within Abu Dhabi city
