The European Commission is looking for a Director for the Office of Administration and Payment of Individual Entitlement (PMO). 

PMO is the administrative office responsible for determining, calculating and paying financial entitlements and remuneration of staff of the European Commission and certain other EU Institutions. As Director of PMO, you will be responsible for some 570 members of staff, based in Brussels, Luxembourg and Ispra (Italy), handling an operational budget of around EUR 4.8 billion. You will work under the supervision of a Management Committee, chaired by the Director-General of DG Human Resources and Security.

Your responsibilities:

  • Legal and public representation of PMO;
  • Ensuring the smooth functioning of PMO’s activities by managing human and budget resources effectively, thereby;
  • Ensuring quality standards, monitoring deadlines, workflow and fulfilment of objectives;
  • Reporting regularly to the Management Committee, including submitting an Annual Work Programme and Annual Activity Report.

Your skills:

  • Solid management experience at a senior level, including proven direct responsibility for managing budgets and large teams of highly skilled staff;
  • Good understanding of the European Commission’s human resources policies and financial rules;
  • Confirmed communication skills, capable of representing PMO inside and outside the European Institutions.
