Job Purpose
You will support and co-ordinate the sales and account management activities for Sales, primarily in relation to the designated corporate, TMC, retail and tour operator accounts. Key activities center around the requirement to deliver both “on the spot” decision making as well as ongoing project development, telesales, and developing own sales portfolio of accounts.  Close coordination and support of the Embassies and Consulates in the region.
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities shall include but not limited to:
  • Delivers on the commitments made by the account mangers and is pivotal to the impression and reputation of the company’s professionalism and responsiveness. Of equal importance is the requirement to liaise between the account managers and key stakeholders in Head Office to deliver information and solutions.    
  • Work closely with the pricing, marketing, and account managers in providing analytical and administrative support related to key accounts
  • General agent requests & fare related trouble-shooting
  • Contract & ROIF preparations; working knowledge of Revenue Plus
  • Maintain agent database in SFA; telesales activities
  • Coordinate agent waiver requests & ADM queries
  • Coordinate and handling group requests
  • Create monthly revenue / sales / market share reports
  • Calculate incentive payments and liaise with HO accounts
  • Facilitate the local market implementation of salesforce.com
  • Assist in the organization of marketing and sales promotions
  • Fare distribution to preferred agents
  • Attend sales promotional events & tradeshows
  • Coordinate agency familiarization trips
  • Coordinate and prepare weekly report
Requirements
University degree preferred with 5 - 6 years commercial experience, preferably with an airline in a similar role. Familiar with Travel Agency procedures: ARC reporting, debit/credit memos; Experience with airline and industry reporting systems, detailing revenue, (ARC) sales, advance bookings and market shares; Database management; Experienced GDS user, preferably on Sabre with strong Ticketing and Reservations experience
Knowledge
  • Adept at Microsoft Office packages, incl; Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook
  • Good understanding of the importance of delivering outstanding service to the company’s most important clients and own account managers  
  • Able to work independently, using own initiative, highly organized and able to work under stress
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Analytical skills and adept at statistical management
