The Australian National University is making a series of strategic appointments, including seeking an outstanding academic leader in population health.
The successful applicant will have a distinguished record of teaching, research and publication in one or more of the fields related to population health, and a proven record of leadership, supervision and management in a high profile academic environment with the capacity to engage multiple disciplines in integrative research and teaching frameworks. An ability to further enhance and develop the performance and the national and international reputation in research and education of the Research School and the University is also essential.
This role will provide the opportunity to contribute to the Research School’s mission to conduct multi-disciplinary research and graduate education that will enhance the understanding of patterns of health and disease in Australia, its region and globally. You will have the responsibility to play a leading role in the strategic planning for the Research School and to integrate population health into major research strengths within the ANU College of Medicine, Biology and Environment.
The appointment as Director will be for a period of five years with opportunity for renewal by mutual agreement.
