Internal Auditor

The Standard Group comprises, The Standard Newspapers, Game yetu, The Counties, KTN, Radio Maisha, PDS, Standard Digital and Think Outdoor Services. 

The Group is looking for a highly motivated, qualified, experienced and reputable team player to fill the following position:

Internal Auditor

The incumbent will assist in the audit of various sections, units, branches and processes from planning to issuance of audit reports.
 

Key Responsibilities

• Assimilate and implement the unit’s strategies and comprehensively apply a practical program of audit coverage for assigned audit areas
• Work both collaboratively and individually with various departments and in a team
• Examine and evaluate systems of internal controls and make appropriate recommendations.
• Assist the departments in the development and periodic review of procedures manuals.
• Prepare and present to the Head of Audit briefs including progress report on audit projects undertaken.
• Liaise with the external auditors on the year-end audits and to agree with the respective departments the action plans required and to guide and support the departments in the preparation.
• Assist coordinating investigation into cases of theft, fraud and loss in the Group in liaison with the Security team

Qualifications & Experience in;

• Bachelor of Commerce or Economics
• CPA Qualification
• 3 years’ experience in audit
