EUREAU is the European Federation of National Associations of Water Services representing the water & waste water operators at EU level. EUREAU is the voice of 70.000 utilities – reflecting the full diversity of the European water and sanitation services and representing public, private and mixed operators. EUREAU members collectively provide water services to more than 400 million people in Europe.

PROFILE

The Brussels based Media & Communication Officer should have:
  • A university degree or equivalent;
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience on EU level;
  • Proven interest to work for the water sector; experience in water policy is an asset;
  • Knowledge of EU institutions and the EU decision-making process;
  • Good contacts with media in Brussels and abroad;
  • Ability to speak and write clearly and concisely;
  • Fluent command of English, additional European languages being an asset.

FUNCTION

  • You will develop a communication strategy in order to raise the visibility of EUREAU;
  • You will be the first contact for media;
  • You will develop and produce EUREAU’s publications according to the new strategy and based on the essentials of the new visual identity;
  • You will improve the internal communication taking into account the information needs of members (national associations) in 28 European countries;
  • You will contribute to the drafting of EUREAU’s position papers and presentations;
  • You will work in a small international team, reporting to the Secretary General;
  • You will work in close cooperation with the Policy Officer;
  • You will liaise with experts and staff from EUREAU member organisations.

PACKAGE

EUREAU offers a full time contract under Belgian law. Salary and benefits will be commensurate with experience.
