We are establishing Queensland Curtis LNG, a world-first project to turn reserves of natural coal seam gas in the Surat and Bowen basins in Queensland into liquefied natural gas (LNG) – a carbon efficient fuel.

Position Summary
As part of the Upstream Operations Maintenance team, achieve a safe day to day operation within the boundaries of the work management systems. The incumbent must demonstrate fluency in the OMS and commitment to achieving high yet cost effective equipment availability and reliability.
As the Instrumentation & Electrical Technician within the Upstream Operations Maintenance team the breadth of work spans from the well head to the export pipeline, inclusive of ancillary and control room equipment. In addition to this, the incumbent will be responsible for ensuring the compliance of company safety policy and contribute in eliminating and reducing risk.

Key Accountabilities
Position Specific• Execute / perform preventive and corrective maintenance tasks on plant and equipment, safely and effectively, and provide technical assistance, as required, to the Operations Team
• Execute maintenance per the approved weekly schedule as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor
• Inspect, test, adjust and repair E&I equipment to satisfy appropriate governing standards
• Execute Safety Case Performance Standard maintenance verification and proof testing activities
• Demonstrate high quality fault finding skills and the ability to troubleshoot autonomously, whilst adhering to all procedures
• Maintain maintenance registers and databases for Operations and site specific equipment and systems Support PM & CM Team leader by
• Advice and recommendations on improvements in production and planned maintenance.
• input to design change implementation
• participation in HAZOP reviews
• feedback on preventative plans
• Ensure compliance to Hazardous Area Electrical requirements are always met when performing maintenance
• Observe, monitor and supervise contract staff working onsite during peak periods such as Turnarounds
• Assist in developing SWMS and SOP to ensure safe execution of all I&E activities.
• Responsibility for the identification of continuous improvement opportunities and participation in the development and implementation of solutions.
• Maintain maintenance records through effective documentation in conjunction within Maximo CMMS ensuring all history and follow-up work is captured
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and cleanliness
Emergency Response• Be fully conversant with emergency response plans and procedures.
• Provide input to review of emergency response plans & procedures
• Participate in emergency response simulations and training
• E&I Maintenance of emergency response equipment
• Carry out repair works as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor or as directed by an “emergency controller”

Shutdown Tasks• Input into handover of equipment for maintenance from and to Operational.
• Participate in shutdown Toolbox meetings.
• Assist with development of the shutdown I&E scope of work
• Assist with the development of the Job Plan and labour requirements for shutdown I&E tasks
• Assist in the coordination of the Shutdown E&I workforce
People Management• May be required to train others to ensure skill development within the team
• The incumbent must adhere to the annual HR cycle and meet deadlines within the appropriate timeframes.

Unique Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Attribute
Experience Needed • I&E Trade background with experience in Oil & Gas Industry (Instrumentation Technicians C3 qualifications Preferably)
• Experience/competence with maintenance of Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas
• High Voltage Switching experience.
• Power generation experience, ideally with gas turbines
• Emergency Shut Down system and associated field device maintenance experience
• Fire & Gas Detection system and field device maintenance experience
• DCS & PLC exposure
• Proven experience in the use of a CMMS
• Experienced user of business IT systems
• Permit to Work experience
Knowledge, Languages, Skills and Attributes • Strong verbal and written communication skills
• High level interpersonal skills
• Competent in Microsoft Office applications
• Understanding of Centralised Maintenance Management System.
• Electrical Trade Certificate
• Ability to hold an unrestricted Queensland Electrical Workers Licence
• Proven ability to interact effectively with people
• Understanding of industry standards

• Understanding of their role in asset processes and procedures
