GAIN Internship, US Office, Washington

This internship is a 6 months opportunity for a young professional interested in global health and development to gain insights into the resource mobilization process along with experience in working in a dynamic and multicultural environment.
Responsibilities
To provide support for the US-based resource mobilization (fundraising) effort, including:
• Conducting prospect and donor research, tracking opportunities and developing background briefings.
• Assisting with preparations for meetings, managing calendar of proposal and reporting dates, helping to develop proposals and reports.
• Managing prospect/donor information (including data entry into the Salesforce database) and knowledge management (e.g., GAIN's Sharepoint “library”).
For partnership development, the intern will assist with research and briefs on partnerships as well as support partner meetings and events. 
The intern will also support the development of materials and the production of events that support efforts to raise the visibility of the US office. 
We are looking for someone with…
• Academic background (first degree) in international relations, public health, public administration or other field relevant to international development and global health.
• Experienced user of standard office software; advanced Excel skills and web applications experience are strong assets.
• Ability to be flexible and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to structure and prioritize work.
• Strong analytical and drafting skills (in English) and attention to detail.
