Job Summary:
To support analysis and reporting that will further facilitate strategic development and planning, information flow from the field on activity tracking of planned programmes/projects, and evaluations of program immediate outcomes to further assist in management decision making and donor reporting
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Improve and/or develop health program monitoring systems to gather all output and immediate outcome information necessary for donor reporting and programme learning.
Develop and provide training for regional health program M&E and field staff in tools such as data management, data design, data collection, data entry, data analysis, basic report writing and presentation of main findings.
Produce reports on lessons learned, success stories, and help conduct analysis under supervision of the Health Program Manager and the ERLU Monitoring Manager.
Undertake monitoring visits and evaluations of health projects and programmes to ensure quality data collection.
In coordination with the ERLU Monitoring Manager and Regional ERLU Managers provide advice to Health Program Manager on appropriate staffing needs for monitoring responsibilities.
Under the supervision of Health Program Manager, provide support to Aga Khan Health Services and Aga Khan University Monitoring & Evaluation teams in National level to build their capacity and facilitate their M&E activities.
Conduct ad hoc monitoring visit of AKHS and AKU projects to make sure the ground realities with reports provided to donors. These visits should be done jointly with Health Program Support Officers or HPM.
Provide capacity building to local staff of AKF health program, both M&E team (as it expands) and non-M&E staffs.
Explore opportunities for qualitative and quantitative research in health sector related to AKF health program
Minimum 3 years of experience in M&E, preferably in health sector .
Master Degree in field relevant to Monitoring and Evaluation of health sector.
Fluent in written and spoken English.
Ability and willingness to travel throughout AKF Afghanistan programme areas.
