Short-Term Associate (AKA Chief Acrobat)

Living Goods is looking for a short-term Associate with exceptional communication and organizational skills, to work from our San Francisco office. You are great for this role if you are: a proactive doer who takes initiative to solve problems,create better systems and forecast organizational and team needs; a dynamic multi-tasking guru who can manage multiple projects while balancing competing requests and priorities;and you exude a general awesomeness.
The primary role of the Associate will be to provide administrative, program and business development support to the President and San Francisco team.This position offers the unique opportunity to shape the operations of a growing social enterprise aiming to improve the lives of the global poor, while playing a critical role supporting our San Francisco office and our teams in East Africa. This position is a full time contract starting immediately and ending in November with a strong possibility of extension.
Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent administrative and programmatic support to the President and Senior Management team, including scheduling, travel logistics, special projects and other activities as assigned.
  • Ensure seamless communication and coordination between Living Goods' distributed teams, taking initiative to create better systems and processes where needed.
  • Support fundraising and business development efforts.
  • Provide management of the office and vendors,including supplies and technology.
  • Contribute to special initiatives, projects, and research as assigned by President and Senior Management.
Qualifications
  • Experience providing administrative support to senior level management
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with the full range of internal and external stakeholders on a routine basis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exhibits creative problem-solving ability, judgment, courtesy, patience and calm under pressure.
  • Committed to Living Goods' mission of building a double bottom-line business designed to improve the health and wealth of people living in poverty.
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM tool a plus.
  • BA required.
