The role
With a minimum of 15 years commercial experience in details,
  • This expert will conduct a geological survey to investigate sinkhole occurrences and hazards initially across the urban area of Doha, but also extending countrywide across Qatar; review existing geophysical and other investigation data; use of and interpretation of remote sensing data; liaison and teamwork with DEM (including 3D) and GIS specialists; prepare training modules and presentations to Government client; plan and implement field studies; manage professional and technical personnel  in all the above tasks.
Suitable applicants will have/be:
  • Previous work experience in Middle East is desirable 
  • A master's degree or equivalent
  • At least 15-years' experience in providing consulting services in engineering geology, with experience in karst terrains, arid environments; familiar with remote sensing, geophysical and drilling techniques; familiarity with the use of GIS is desirable
