Civil Engineers – Newcastle

Due to continued growth and anticipated upcoming workload, we are experiencing an increase in the demand for experienced civil engineers to join our Newcastle team, based in Charlestown.  We are currently seeking applications from candidates who would like to take the next career step, developing to your full potential within a busy, dynamic team alongside owners of the business.

You will be joining an industry-leading team and will have the opportunity to contribute to wide-ranging, technically challenging projects.

Key components of this role include, but are not limited to:
  • delivering various types of civil engineering projects across urban renewal / development and infrastructure in a quality, cost effective and efficient manner
  • delivering challenging projects concurrently including multi-disciplinary projects
  • the opportunity to lead multi-disciplinary projects
  • working with a diverse client base and responding efficiently to client's needs
  • report writing and relevant business reporting
  • acting as a mentor for less experienced engineers

Applications are sought from candidates with the following attributes: 
  • Experience – 3 to 5 years’ experience as a consulting civil engineer, with project experience across infrastructure, subdivisions and/or buildings.
  • CPEng preferred, with the process of attainment already commenced expected.
  • Communication - Able to speak and write clearly, concisely, and compellingly. Is honest, open and thoughtful in word and in action. Able to present complex messages to multiple levels of an organisation.
  • Leadership - Always focused on doing what’s right for the business. Willing to take on the tough challenges to grow the business.
  • Autonomous Productivity - Ability to be highly productive with periodic direct management and with little oversight from senior management.
  • Accountability - Sets goals and drives to their fulfilment. Takes responsibility for their actions and for outcomes related to their actions (or inactions).
