Professors, Strategic Management and Marketing Management

The University of Lucerne is the youngest of the Swiss Universities. Founded in the year 2000, the University currently has three faculties and counts around 2800 students. In Autumn 2016 the new Faculty of Economics and Management will open its doors for the first time. The new faculty will offer a general education in economics and management at an international level.

The University of Lucerne, Switzerland, invites applications for two new professorships (open rank) in the fields of Strategic Management andMarketing Management, starting August 2016. Candidates must hold a PhD and are expected to have an excellent international publications record as well as superior teaching qualifications. We welcome applications at the rank of assistant (tenure-track) or full professor, commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The two new colleagues will teach at all levels in our “Economics and Management” pro-grams, which are characterized by a close integration of economics and management con-tent; at the Master’s level, we plan degrees specializing in the fields of Strategic Management, Health Economics and Management, and Political Economics. We are looking for colleagues who understand the importance of scientific evidence as well as practical relevance. The successful candidates are expected to be capable of teaching in German within two years of appointment.

The professorships will be at the University of Lucerne’s new Faculty of Economics and Management. The positions offer a fascinating opportunity to shape and influence a young and dynamic institution.
