Internship, WFP Communications Unit, Bogotá-Colombia Country Office


The World Food Programme is the world's largest humanitarian agency, fighting hunger worldwide. We are currently seeking to fill an internship position under the Communications Unit of the Colombia Country Office. The Internship will be for an initial period of 6 months starting as soon as possible.

Description

The selected candidate will be assisting the Communications Unit with the following key duties:
· Support in the design and completion of the country office communications strategy;
· Assist in the communications evaluation by Sub-Offices, for example: materials, use of social networks, events, etc.;
· Support in the management of the account of Twitter for the Country Director;
· Support campaigns of visibility;
· Perform other duties as required.

Essential Requirements

  • Currently enrolled and have attended University courses in the last 12 months inclusive of having completed at least two years of undergraduate studies or have recently graduated in the last 12 months in communications or similar;
· Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point);
· Fluent in English
· Knowledge of social media

Terms and Conditions

· Interns receive a monthly stipend from WFP up to the maximum amount of US$700 per month depending on the duty station of assignment, (approximately $300 for Bogota);
· WFP is not responsible for living expenses, arrangements for accommodation, travel to and from WFP internship location, necessary visas and costs related.
