I want to be selected for a year’s internship at the European Foundation Centre!
If we grabbed your attention, you’re probably the smart, dynamic, motivated student or graduate that we’d like to offer a year’s internship to in the EFC’s Policy Department from September 2016 for 1 year.
Position responsibilities
- Assisting in the organisation and follow-up of department meetings and other administrative tasks relating to the activities of the department (e.g. management of logistics, background documentation, report writing)
- Developing and keeping-up-to date databases (e.g. Entering data, creating mailing lists, etc.)
- Conducting specific research in the areas of work of the department (e.g. drafting fact sheets, updating documents, etc)
- Assisting in the organisation and follow-up of events (e.g. preparation of pre-reading materials, registration and assistance to participants, drafting and sending of evaluation questionnaires ,etc)
- Engaging in work with other EFC departments and supporting Leadership team as requested
- Fulfilling reception duties, supporting the organisation of events taking place in Philanthropy House and occasionally elsewhere if promoted by EFC
The successful applicant should
- Be an undergraduate or post graduate student
- Have an interest in Policy issues and a commitment to the work of the not for profit and civil society sector
- Have very good organisational, communication and writing skills (essential)
- Be fluent in English (knowledge of other European languages is an asset)
- Have strong computer skills (word processing, spread sheets, data bases)
- Be creative and enthusiastic
- Have the ability to work independently and as part of a team
