Business Development Manager – South/East Africa

We are currently recruiting for a:

Business Development Manager – South/East Africa

Location:

Johannesburg

Reports to:

Business Development Manager - Africa

Specific Responsibilities:

 To increase client base and secure revenue streams for sustainable profit growth for the individual operations through:

o

building of sustainable long-term relationships on multiple levels

o

structured and targeted marketing of services

o

identification and reporting of growth opportunities (geographical or service related)

Skills & Abilities:

 Marketing, sales and identification of new business opportunities;

 Good client network and relationship building skills;

 Strong strategic planning and leadership skills and attributes;

 Excellent communication skills, both oral and written ;

 Ability to produce results under pressure and to strict deadlines;

 Enthusiastic and motivationally orientated.

Experience and Qualifications:

 Minimum 7-10 years experience in Laboratory processes, management, business development or customer services. A background in either the mineral or environmental analytical markets is highly desirable.

 A bachelor level tertiary qualification in Science, Engineering, Geology or extensive Business Development experience in a related field. Preference will be given to applicants with Post-graduate qualifications in Business Administration / Management

 Proven track record in securing revenue streams
