Bangladesh Chief of Party – Rural Agriculture and Livelihoods

CHF International is seeking a Chief of Party for an anticipated rural livelihoods project in Bangladesh. This anticipated program will support vulnerable rural populations to improve their livelihoods and will focus on economic engagement, skill building, resilience, capacity building, and related areas in Bangladesh. The Chief of Party will provide overall management and general technical direction of the entire program. S/he will serve as a representative to the program, liaising with the donor and other partners. This position will be responsible for the program achieving target results, and will identify issues and risks related to program implementation in a timely manner and suggest appropriate program adjustments.

Qualifications:

•Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Economics, International Development or related field. •Minimum of 10 years experience managing large, multi-year donor-funded sustainable market development programs focusing on poor household economic engagement and creating market linkages. •Proven ability to relate to the particular needs of vulnerable populations. •Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with market development best practices, such as microenterprise development, value chain development, or microfinance. •In-depth knowledge of USAID programmatic, compliance and reporting requirements. •Excellent financial management skills. •Superior written and verbal communication skills in English. •Experience working in Bangladesh strongly preferred.
