Executive Dean

The Tshwane University of Technology has the following vacancies in senior management. All the posts are full-time, fiveyear fixed-term contracts. Please note that some of the following posts were advertised previously and previous applicants who are still interested are required to re-apply.


EXECUTIVE DEAN
Peromnes Level 3
• Faculty of Engineering and the Built Environment (Ref. 11/284)



The University seeks to appoint two Executive Deans in the Faculty of Management Sciences and the Faculty of Engineering
and the Built Environment respectively. These posts are part of the University’s executive management and report to the
Deputy Vice-Chancellor: Teaching, Learning and Technology and the Deputy Vice-Chancellor: Research, Innovation and
Partnerships. The successful candidates will be responsible for the overall strategic management and leadership of the relevant Faculty with a view to increasing national and international standing.



Requirements: • A Doctorate or equivalent qualification in a relevant field • At least five years’ experience at senior
management level in a university or related environment • Demonstrated leadership abilities • A distinguished record
of teaching, scholarship and research excellence will also be required.
