Position: Resident Engineer

Location: Port-au-Prince, Haiti

Duration: 6 Months

Position Summary: Relief International (RI) is currently recruiting a Project Manager for an anticipated USAID-funded program in Haiti for the Construction of Permanent Shelter Houses on the Caracol EKAM site in the Cap Haitien Development Corridor Shelter Program. The program will serve to meet the backlog of shelter that exists as a result of the 2010 earthquake by increasing IDP access to safe, durable and affordable housing within development corridors in Haiti. The Resident Engineer will directly supervise construction activities.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: • Ensure the smooth day-to-day running of construction activities through supervision and management. • Plan and supervise work of the construction staff.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS: This position demands a dynamic individual with a demonstrated ability to achieve results in a demanding and fast paced environment. • Background in Engineering • At least 5 years experience in the execution of construction activities specifically related to reinforced concrete and the use of concrete masonry units/blocks

Salary: Commensurate with experience and qualifications
