Regulatory Officer Washington, DC
The RO reports to the Director, Risk Improvement
Specific Duties: • Prepare documents required for registration of Pact Inc and Pact Institute in countries where Pact has field offices or is setting up field offices • Organize and maintain the registration and governance documents, and corporate records of Pact, Inc and Pact Institute; manage and update company records with government offices and donor agencies and other organizations as requested. • Create and maintain worldwide corporate records database. Establish, organize and maintain hard copy and electronic files. • Institute a document management program. Coordinate document, evidence or record retention and destruction. • Monitor national and international regulations to ensure that new requirements for Pact, Inc and Pact Institute and its country offices are operating within the local law. • Manage export administration functions, including application and management of export licenses. Maintain and enhance export compliance procedures. • Monitor export regulatory changes for impact on Pact, Inc and Pact Institute and adjust export procedures accordingly. • Investigate matches to US Government restricted parties lists, determine ramifications for Pact, Inc and Pact Institute and advise impacted domestic and international personnel • Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications: BA and at least 6 years of relevant experience Ability to travel internationally
Preference for: • Masters or JD • Demonstrated experience reading and understanding export and corporate governance regulations and applying requirements in an operational setting • Experience working with international development organizations and/or humanitarian organizations • Experience conducting trainings and workshops on compliance related issues • Fluent English and proficiency in another language

Technical Skills • Good experience in one of Pact’s technical areas or a support function • Working knowledge and understanding of donor policies and regulations • Competence using common desktop applications and internal systems
