SENIOR EVALUATION OFFICER
OFFICE OF INDEPENDENT EVALUATION
The Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) is seeking to recruit an exceptional and dynamic individual from nationals of its member countries to fill the position of Senior Evaluation Officer to work in the Office of Independent Evaluation (OIE).
CDB is a multi-lateral development bank that collaborates with its Borrowing Member Countries (BMCs) to promote sustainable social and economic development, economic cooperation and regional integration.
The Role
The Senior Evaluation Officer (SEO) is primarily responsible for leading and contributing to corporate, country strategy, programme, sector or thematic evaluations. In addition, the SEO is expected to contribute to the mandate of the OIE, which includes oversight of the CDB’s operations, formative and summative evaluations, preparation of performance audits, and preparing ad hoc reports summarizing evaluation findings and lesson of experience for dissemination to stakeholders. The SEO reports to the Head of Evaluation and the job requires frequent interaction with the management and staff of CDB, borrowers, executing agencies, donors and other international financial institutions.
The Candidate
  • Eligible candidates should have a postgraduate degree in any of the social science disciplines, engineering, business or other relevant disciplines.
  • Candidates should have ten (10) years’ experience in leading or managing a team including at least six (6) years’ experience in the monitoring or evaluation of development assistance projects.
  • The successful candidate must be willing to live and work in Barbados.
