Our client’s Berlin branch is an innovative division where an international team of >40 nationalities create location based services (LBS) on the highest level.

The team in Berlin is accountable for building leading mobile navigation products, superior LBS infrastructure and delivering innovative products to create unique experiences for our consumers. It’s focused on APIs design and development to create global ecosystems of location products.

Our client is currently looking for )(Senior) Technical Writer to support the R&D group of the team.

Your main task will be to produce documentation to a professional standard to meet the needs of the target audience of third-party developers.

The position requires a deep understanding of API design principles and very good communication skills.

Your tasks will be mainly:

• Working with in-house developers and software architects to understand the APIs you document
• Evaluating API design from developer usability perspective

Qualifications:
Proven experience in software companies

• Experience in software development (development tools, SDKs, frameworks, etc. )
• Experience writing technical manuals, user guides and documentation for software development tools
• Experience writing developer guides and APIs reference documentation for third-party developers
• Working experience with development tools
• Ability to read and understand a code in various languages (C++, Qt, Java, JavaScript, …)
• Good knowledge/experience of Internet technologies (REST, HTTP,…)
• Ability to create graphs, diagrams and screen captures to support concepts
• Native command of English
