Humanitarian Food Security & Livelihoods Specialist (Register member)

Save the Children’s vision is a world in which every child attains the right to survival, protection, development and participation. Save the Children seeks the highest possible quality humanitarian and development programmes for children with innovation and impact that can be taken to scale around the world. To tackle the current number and scale of current emergencies, Save the Children is seeking to recruit specialist in Food Security and Livelihoods in emergencies.

Emergency work is conducted and will be conducted in different countries and contexts, save the Children is seeking members who would be interested in “a la carte” deployments, which could be in various areas and of various length depending on the context. Most often at short notice.

To accomplish this goal, Save the Children will interview suitable candidate, whose names will be added to a roster. The advisors will maintain contact with the roster members and regularly let them know of vacancies corresponding to their profile. The candidates will let Save the Children know of their availability and interest.

Once deployed, the post holders will contribute to Save the Children’s country capacity to address food and livelihood insecurity in emergency affected populations through programme assessment, design, management, evaluation and training.
