Industrial Sister
We require the services of a qualified nursing sister to provide general medical services to our ±1600 employees.
The key performance areas of the post consist of the following:
- The general management of the clinic, including amongst others budgets and purchasing management
- Medical treatment of employees
- Guidance regarding family planning and primary health care
- Control over all medical and first aid supplies
- The dispensing of medication
- The administering of audiometric tests
- Occupational Health
- Handling and reporting of claims to the Compensation Commissioner
- Liaising with relevant medical practitioners regarding work related incidents.
The successful candidate must be registered with the SANC and SASOHN and preferably meet the following requirements:
- A nursing qualification with a licence for dispensing medication as well as completed training in community health, occupational health, audiometry and family planning with at least three (3) years’ appropriate experience in a similar position
- Being bilingual is a requirement, while the speaking and understanding of Xhosa will strengthen the application
- Good interpersonal and human relations, the ability to work from own initiative as well as computer literacy are further requirements.
