Financial Manager

Requirements:

  • Incumbent must be in possession of at least a 3-year financial degree or similar financial qualification
  • Minimum of 3 years’ demonstrated professional experience in finance at senior management level
  • Understanding of infrastructure projects and public procurement
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Entrepreneurial team player
  • Willingness to travel internationally
  • Excellent communication, writing, negotiation and financial analysis skills, with computer and spreadsheet proficiency.


Reporting to the General Manager of IA, the incumbent will execute the necessary business operations for the company and make a constructive and value-added contribution to the Business. Responsible for timeous, accurate and complete capturing and financial transactions in the Business, he/she will deliver comprehensive, accurate and consolidated financial plans and budget as well as timeous and accurate profit and loss statements and forecast to project completion, and ensure risks and assets are well controlled. Additionally he/she will ensure compliance with the legal requirements and Group Five Policies, ensure high quality on-site costing and administration, provide sound financial advice to managers and peers, and demonstrate sound knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Being responsible for the preparation of budgets and monthly financial reporting, implementing general financial control including guidance on best practice and statutory compliances, and ensuring risk management in project development and implementation, as well as investing in learning and development of all direct reports, are also role directives. Further duties include driving Business Strategy while maintaining transparent performance management, a sound control environment and good corporate governance.
