Research Assistant - Public Affairs

The Forum Secretariat is looking to appoint a qualified person to the position of Research Assistant – Public Affairs. This position reports to the Communications and Media Officers of the Strategic Partnerships & Coordination Programme.

The position will be accountable for:
• Website maintenance and content management support;
• Social Media content support;
• Multimedia formatting and design support;
• Research and news drafting support; and
• Publications and information material production support.

Applicants should have a formal qualification in discipline relevant to Communications, Public Relations, Multimedia, International Relations or Journalism with at least 5 years of relevant work experience in the media, private sector or development, with a focus on website content management.
Applicants must be able to work with minimal supervision and meet tight deadlines, have strong research and analytical skills, broad understanding of regional issues, a strong command of English and the ability to apply these skills to news-style writing.
