SALES REPRESENTATIVE – NSEWA

North Star Alliance provides mobile workers and related communities with sustainable access to high quality health and safety services.

Fleet Forum brings together stakeholders that play a vital role in road safety and fleet efficiency in a dialogue and shared activities that will help save lives, be cost efficient, and help save the planet.

NSEWA is an innovative training initiative that bridges the gap between health services and road safety for truck drivers and the Road Freight Industry. Through a tailored training programme developed jointly by Fleet Forum and North Star Alliance.

North Star Alliance is looking for a Sales Representative for the NSEWA initiative to get new business, grow existing business and achieve sales targets that are in line with the company’s budgets and growth targets.

Task and Resonsibilities

Sales and Marketing

  • Responsible for the sales of professional training and business services.
  • Develops annual sales and marketing plan in conjunction with Project Manager, which details activities to follow during the fiscal year, which will focus the sales representative on meeting or exceeding sale targets.
  • Maximizes all opportunities in the process of closing a sale resulting in the taking of market share from larger competitors.
  • Sells consultatively and makes recommendations to prospects and clients of the various solutions the company offers to their business issues.
  • Assists in the implementation of company sales and marketing plans as needed.
  • Responsible for sourcing and developing client relationships and referrals.
  • Liaison with Key Customers at all levels to ensure understanding of customers strategic direction.
  • Assist in development of strategies to meet both customers and NSEWA’s requirements.
  • Continuously monitor and report on competitor activity and other matters influencing the business.

Maintenance of Databases and Records

  • Develops a database of qualified leads through referrals, telephone canvassing, face to face cold calling on business owners, direct mail, email, and networking.
  • Maintains accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities within their assigned territory, including the use of Microsoft Outlook to maintain accurate records to maximize territory potential.
  • Demonstrates the ability to gather, submit detailed business information for underwriting, pricing, and presentation of solutions to identified prospects’ business problems.

Education Programmes

  • Participates and contributes to the development of educational programs offered to clients, prospects and companies .

Service Level Agreements and Quotations

  • Assist in the drafting and implementation of Service Level Agreements (SLA’s), with all customers.
  • Close monitoring and management of Service Level Agreements and CustomerFiles.
  • Handling of all quotations and tenders to finality.
  • Assist Operations in optimising key aspects affecting profitability.
  • Managing of and reporting on indicators of profitability and utilisation in line with an agreed plan on an ongoing basis.

Qualifications and Experiences

Qualification

  • Matric and Sales / Marketing Diploma
  • Drivers license

Alternative Prior Experience

  • 4-6 years of sales experience in the Education and Training Field
  • Extensive experience in all aspects of Supplier Relationship Management.
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
  • Willingness to travel
  • Proven ability to achieve sales quotas.

Knowlege

  • Competency in the full Microsoft Office suite, as well as exposure to the methodology engagaged in costing models will be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of the Transport Sector would be an advantage.
