American Bar Association Legal Education Advisor

The American Bar Association Rule of Law Initiative (ABA ROLI) seeks a Legal Education Advisor (LEA) to coordinate technical assistance to law schools, including training and other technical guidance. The LEA will facilitate exchanges between Egyptian and foreign law faculties, support the development of national, regional, and international networks of legal clinics, research centers, and professionals dedicated to legal education reform; and work to institutionalize linkages and collaborations between law schools and the greater legal and civil society community. The LEA will work with a dedicated Country Director. S/he will be based in Cairo, Egypt and work in close cooperation with ABA ROLI's Washington, D.C. office.

Minimum 10 years experience as law school administrator, professor, clinical professor, or as a judicial training program manager or trainer, as well as at least 3-5 years practical experience in participatory teaching methodologies, curriculum, and course development. Experience managing US Government donor-funded international legal reform or civil society programs; and knowledge of USAID rules and regulations preferred.
