PATH’s Maternal and Child Health and Nutrition Program (MCHN) works to apply effective, innovative approaches to broadening access to and use of key maternal and child health and nutrition interventions that address the most pressing causes of maternal and child deaths, poor health and poor nutritional status.
This project will focus on improving the health and development of children less than two years old in four districts in South Africa, with a direct service population of approximately 4 million.
Program Assistant
Nkangala District, Mpumalanga
This role will be tasked with general administrative support, including word processing, Excel spreadsheets, graphics and tables, and creation of PowerPoint presentations, as well as drafting, formatting and proofreading correspondence and other documents. The Program Assistant will schedule regular team meetings,
establish and maintain project filing systems and assist with the completion of administrative forms. In addition, the incumbent will be administratively responsible for reports, correspondence and other materials and will plan travel, retreats, workshops and meetings (including arrangements for guests). Candidates will require tertiary-level education plus two years’ directly related experience in a professional office environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Our ideal person is an excellent verbal and written communicator (English).
