Coordinator – UK Aid Network

CONTRACT: 1 year fixed term contract
SALARY: £31,504 – 33,727pa
LOCATION: London EC1R 0BJ

Do you have a good background in International Development, with experience of advocacy targeted at relevant UK bodies and strong leadership skills. Then you could be next Coordinator of the UK Aid Network (UKAN).

UKAN was established in 2004 to support UK development NGOs to work collaboratively on issues related to the UK’s aid quantity and quality, the UK Government’s international engagement on aid and to influence key international aid processes through work with European and Global NGO networks. As Coordinator you will work with its Steering Group of 10 agencies to take forward the planning, delivery and monitoring of UKAN’s advocacy, policy and research activities.

Day-to-day you will facilitate and help to lead the annual planning process as well as to deliver, monitor and review UKAN’s activities. In addition to managing key advocacy relationships in DFID, other parts of the UK Government and other relevant bodies, you will monitor debates on aid and pursue opportunities for UKAN to influence them. You will also support the development of policy and carry out general organisational management, including overseeing UKAN’s finances and a member of staff.

With a post-graduate degree in a development related subject and some knowledge of aid issues, you will have experience ofadvocacy, targeted at relevant UK bodies. ideally gained by working with NGOs You will also possess excellent communication and outreach skills and excel at producing written materials for external audiences.
