Director, SPRINT Initiative: Accessing Sexual and Reproductive health services in humanitarian settings

Fixed term contract to June 2016

Salary: US $60,000 - $82,000 per annum plus attractive benefits package

IPPF is a global service provider and a leading advocate of sexual and reproductive health and rights for all. We are a worldwide movement of national organizations working with and for communities and individuals. IPPF aims to improve the quality of life of individuals by campaigning for sexual and reproductive health and rights through the provision of services and through advocacy, especially for poor and vulnerable people across the globe.

SPRINT is an initiative that seeks to increase timely access to life-saving information and sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services in humanitarian settings. IPPF is seeking a dynamic Director to lead the implementation of the SPRINT initiative at the global level and across three IPPF Regions (Africa; South Asia; and East & South East Asia and Oceania). You must have a passion for sexual and reproductive health and a proven track record in managing multimillion-dollar humanitarian programmes.

With significant experience in international development including humanitarian emergencies and ideally a working knowledge of SRH, you will lead a virtual team that will build capacity across IPPF to engage with humanitarian responses. You will advocate to stakeholders for the inclusion of SRH in humanitarian responses. Proven leadership, robust staff management and powerful advocacy skills are essential, as are sound organizational and programme management skills and willingness to undertake significant international travel, including to hardship countries. You must have a Masters degree in International Development or Humanitarian Affairs or related field, or equivalent standard of education.
