Expat Factory Manager (Unity Packaging) Conscript Africa - Ndola (Zambia)

Our client has an ambitious expansion program to include the exporting of boxes to markets in the Democratic Republic of Congo. This will be an aggressive, ambitious Manager at the helm of the factory to train the workers in quality of carton boxes to enable it to continue being a market leader.

Location: Ndola (Zambia)

Employment type: Expat offer will be for a period of 3 years with a possible extension up to 5 years

Remuneration: USD per month negotiable depending on candidate’s experience, qualifications and skills.

Desired Skills & Experience

Requirements:

• Minimum education required/preferred: A Levels or equivalent or qualified in corrugated packaging industry or experience.
• Minimum years of experience in management: 3 – 4 years
• Training experience required: 5-6 years
• Minimum years of experience in specific industry: 3 years plus in a reputable packaging manufacturing company at a senior level.

Special Technical skills:

Mechanical Engineering

Key Functions:

• Overall management of the factory including planning, quality control, target setting, floor layout, training and supervision of 51 staff.
• Increasing efficiency in running of the factory and production.
• Training workers on the use of modern machinery, maintaining equipment.
• Plan and run board machine.
• Train and control printing section.

The company develops, designs and manufactures high quality boxes and die cut trays. We need an individual who will help client meet the ever growing demand for their services. The business has installed modern machinery to improve on the efficiency of the factory.
