Qualifications

Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering. Record of successful completion of advanced level courses relevant to the teaching of the core undergraduate chemical engineering courses

Experience

  • Track record of scholarly activity, including research publications, is essential
  • Practical industrial experience and classroom teaching experience are highly desired
  • Experience in securing research funding, or in consultancies, will be an advantage


Areas of Specialisation

Expertise in Process Safety/Occupational and Environmental Health and Safety/ Environmental Engineering, is strongly preferred. A focus on areas with direct relevance to the Caribbean Region’s health and safety issues and Trinidad’s chemical industries will be an advantage

Personal Attributes

Candidate must have the ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English, and a willingness to work collaboratively with academic and support staff within the department. The candidate should have an interest in liaising with the local industry, and the ability to positively interact with a diverse group of students and staff.
