Due to rapid expansion, we are currently seeking experienced an Operations Analyst to provide cost analysis, planning and reporting expertise to assist our Pilbara sites in maximising their performance. Based in Perth with regular travel to the Pilbara region, these positions will provide successful candidates with the opportunity to achieve hands on exposure to Rio Tinto's business and sites. Reporting to the Senior Operations Analyst, this role will be responsible for the preparation of operating costs, month end reporting, Business Unit planning and forecasting, as well as ongoing initiatives in continuous improvement.
Successful candidates will be degree qualified in a Bachelor of Business or equivalent and have completed or working towards achieving a CA/CPA qualification. Strong month end processing experience, management accounting experience and the ability to work autonomously in the role are key requirements of these positions. Applicants who have strong communication and interpersonal skills and an ability to demonstrate commercially focused results analysis will be highly regarded. Mining experience is highly regarded, though not essential.
