Senior Dispatch Coordinator Zambia

We are looking for an experienced Senior DispatchCoordinator to join our team at Lumwanato coordinate the technical mining systems and the interface with the production, maintenance, processing and administration at Lumwana mine. The position reports to the Technical Services Manager and the role is ideally suited to a Senior Dispatch Engineer who is ready to step-up to the next level in a busy, dynamic, work environment.
Responsibilities are:
  • Manage Modular, Jigsaw and CCsystems maintenance contracts and procurement
  • Continuously improve system functionality and reliability
  • Provide support to dispatch team
  • Analysis of key production and productivity information to ensure the maximum use of available data and reporting capabilities.
  • Ensure accuracy and relevance of daily, weekly, and monthly reports
  • Provide Ad hoc modular reports when required
  • Oversee mentoring / development of staff to international standards of experience, training and performance.
  • Demonstrate empathetic leadership qualities and provide sound direction to work teams to achieve desired outcomes
Requirements
  • Degree in Mining Engineering or suitable industry experience
  • A minimum of 5 years post qualification industrial experience in mine engineering, preferably large truck/shovel operations
  • An additional minimum 3 years’ experience working within the Modular Intellimine system, including dispatching, systems administration and systems analysis
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Self-motivated problem solver and the ability to work unsupervised
  • Proven track record in the promotion of team orientated work groups and employee career development initiatives.
  • Pass a national police clearance, medical and reference checks
