Salary: R236 532 per annum (Ref. DOHS/132/2012)

Requirements: • Appropriate Bachelor’s degree or National Diploma • Extensive knowledge of Government’s human settlement and housing policies, legislation, guidelines, standards and procedures • Good understanding of the institutional arrangements in respect of the Government’s housing programmes • Good verbal and written communication and negotiation skills • Valid Code 08 (EB) driver’s licence • Computer literacy and experience (Microsoft, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) • Willingness to travel • Ability to work under pressure.

Duties: • Provide operational input in the review of existing housing policy and guidelines • Be responsible for the adjustment of existing human settlement and housing policy and guidelines • Prepare submissions to decision-making structures/authorities • Communicate information/decisions to internal and external role-players • Respond to queries/enquiries on policy aspects • Be responsible for the arrangements of policy deliberation forums/meetings • Provide secretarial support • Provide inputs to the budget planning process • Participate in housing policy formulation debate.
