Company Description

Originally known as Gulf Catering Co., GCC SERVICES started operations in 2003 headquartered in Kuwait with just 1 contract in Iraq. Now a part of Agility, GCC SERVICES has been awarded over 80 contracts in the past 8 years, spread across Asia Pacific, Europe, the Middle East,
Africa & the Americas.

At the heart of a range of offerings are the construction, management & supply of camps for the oil & gas, mining, construction & infrastructure industries, being the focal point of GCC
SERVICES strategy going forward; also providing services to the public sector & relief aid agencies. These are usually in remote locations & often challenging environments, where everything has to be brought to site.

The breadth of capabilities are enormous, the company can contract to supply every conceivable need, from initial build, to power & water infrastructure to postal services & telecoms, medical services, security, cleaning, even pest control. Catering continues to play an important role, serving as many as 7million meals/month under various contracts. A comprehensive & creative approach is taken to menu design & includes ethnic variety, religious festivals & national day menus.

A simple question has galvanized the company’s growth: What can we do for you? Finding solutions to customer’s needs by combining innovative thinking with extensive resources, supply chain expertise & Agility’s global network. Also providing tailored financing options for the build & maintenance of facilities.

Achieving a positive socio-economic effect on the communities where we operate is of vital importance. The longer-term reputation of both customer & company are at stake, so wherever possible, we hire & train local nationals & utilizes local suppliers for materials & fresh produce. Rather than clear the site at the end of a project without any legacy benefit to the local populace, we always strive to leave infrastructure intact where it can be utilized by the community, along with restoring / improving any natural landscape that has been impacted by the camp.

Today GCC SERVICES numbers many of the world’s leading corporations & organizations among its customers including BHP Billiton, ExxonMobile, KBR, Petronas, USAID, UN, US Army & UK MoD.

The company’s development started in the Iraq theatre of war, where we built & operated the largest remote dining facility for the US & allied forces, producing 30,000 meals/day; followed by the supply of temporary dining facilities in Afghanistan for the UK MoD (recently constructing camps & support facilities for the FOB's in southern Afghanistan).

Expansion followed into East Africa, central Asia, Malaysia & north central Africa; completing a demanding contract in Chad for EuFor. A process of mergers & acquisitions in Australia & JV's in Indonesia has given us access to the O&G and mining sectors, resulting in numerous contracts in the Australasia region. Most notably in PNG where GCC SERVICES & its JV partner(s) continues to grow.

Being able to fulfill complex contractual requirements in terrain as challenging & sometimes hostile as Chad & Afghanistan typifies the resourcefulness of the company & its people.

QHSE is integrated into all levels of the organization. With an aim of constant improvement & to ensure compliance to the standards, a QHSE Review team comprising of HoD's reviews & updates systems & processes. Well rewarded with ISO 9001:2008, ISO 22000: 2005 (HACCP) & OHSAS 18001 Certification / Accreditation, on the way to implementing an integrated management system encompassing ISO 14001.

GCC SERVICES constantly endeavours to make individuals feel at home – even if it is in the middle of nowhere!
