Environmental Manager



KUMBA IRON ORE EMPLOYEE APPLICATIONS WITHOUT A SIGNED K009 FORM WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED
You will be tasked with managing water, air, ecology, soil, EIA (environmental impact assessment), EMPs, rehabilitation, pollution, etc and representing the mine on environmental issues on public forums. Further functions include ensuring the mine has the necessary permits and licences in terms of environmental legislative requirements and that the mine ensures compliance with the conditions of these permits and licences.
To qualify, you need a 4-year B degree in Natural Sciences, Environmental Management or Environmental Engineering and 5 years' applicable experience. Knowledge of the Mine, Health and Safety Act is essential, as is a Code 08 driver's licence. Your managerial, leadership and communication skills will come in handy, along with the ability to handle stress and function independently.
Remuneration:
  • The position is Anglo Band 6
  • The initial salary will be determined in accordance with Kumba Iron Ore regulations
