The Organisation

Thanks to our role as one of country’s leading foreign investors, we account for 40 per cent of Egypt’s gas production. Today, Egypt is a core country for BG Group a cornerstone of our Atlantic Basin LNG strategy.
Position Summary
·       Provision of HSE management services for the WDDM Offshore Development Projects.
·       Duties will be wide ranging and will require flexibility in outlook together with the occasional travel to other locations.
·       Implementation of BG safety Incentives and procedures to all operations undertaken within the JV
Key Accountabilities
·         Manage all HSE aspects for the PMT.
·         Prepare the PMT HSE Plan in line with Company polices and track progress of the actions.
·         Prepare all project specific PMT HSE procedures including emergency response, incident investigation and incident reporting.
·         Take a proactive role in the management of Contractors’ HSE.
·         Manage the approval by the authorities for the EIA and develop an environmental commitments plan and track progress with implementation of the actions.
·         Manage the preparation of the Safety Case.
·         Develop the PMT HSE Improvement Plan and track progress.
·         Provide HSE statistics for the project monthly report.
·         Review and approve all contractor HSE plans and track progress of the actions.
·         Manage the Project Action Tracking register.
·         Participate in HAZID’, HAZOP’s, HSE Audits.
·         Promote the concept of HSE within the project team and with contractors.
·         Participate in Contractor offshore fleet Audits and inspections.
Unique Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Attribute
·       Professional Qualification of University degree or equivalent.
·       Background in engineering and Project management.
·       Technical professional with offshore experience with knowledge of HSE management systems related to the oil and gas or petro-chemical industry.
·       Proven record in the provision of HSE management services for world-wide sub-sea and offshore projects for a major oil and gas operator.
·       Able to demonstrate a good knowledge of business awareness, key project performance drivers and of financial and commercial aspects of project delivery.
·       Experience of different contracting methods for project execution including EPIC.
·       Hands-on experience of using project control systems and procedures supported by current software.
·       Familiar with the concept, scope and requirements of project assurance methodologies (stage gate systems and processes).
·       Familiar with construction vessel offshore operations and systems and safety considerations associated with such operations.  
·       Good team player with a pro-active and flexible attitude, and able to work in a challenging overseas environment, with minimal supervision.
·       Fluent in written and spoken English.
