The Organisation
QGC is a leading Australian coal seam gas explorer and producer focused on supplying cleaner hydrocarbon energy to growing domestic and international markets.

We are establishing Queensland Curtis LNG, a world-first project to turn reserves of natural coal seam gas in the Surat and Bowen basins in Queensland into liquefied natural gas (LNG) – a carbon efficient fuel.

QGC, which is wholly owned by the British energy company BG Group, employs more than 4,300 staff and contractors. 
Position Summary
Sets the strategic plan for the applications specific to QGC, leads service budgeting and owns benchmarking. Provides guidance on performance reporting and explaining the IT bill ensuring cost transparency. Sets service pricing and owns service P&L.
Key Accountabilities

• As the Service Design authority owns the service design for each component part of the defined service and ensures end-to-end support and SLAs are defined and met. Ensures appropriate metrics and reporting is in place
• Owns the defined service ensuring business outcomes are delivered whilst balancing risks and costs. Works with relationship managers and Programme Managers to establish and deliver on SLAs, ensuring that service levels are in place
• Designs defined service to ensure total cost of operating and maintaining the service is optimised and then understood through maintaining the service catalogue
• Is the gatekeeper for service transition and acceptance processes for projects going live; provides SME input to the evaluation of potential impacts on the defined service from a project
• Seeks to optimise the defined service and service costs

People Management• The incumbent must abide by company policy in relation to HR policies and procedures such as annual HR cycle and meet deadlines within the appropriate timeframes

Unique Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Attribute
Experience Needed
• Proven IT experience of managing delivery of IT services and projects in a high pressure, real time environment across several locations
• Experience of design and implementation of IT systems with a view to incorporating future growth and business expansion
• Budget management experience
• Experience working with system performance, maintenance and security
• Experience with data warehousing concepts and support tools
• Good working knowledge and experience in Corporate back office applications in areas such as SAP, SharePoint, Microsoft suite etc.
• Previous experience in Oil and Gas industry is desirable
 
Knowledge, Skills and Attributes
Qualifications:• Candidates will be qualified to degree level or equivalent in an IT-related subject
• ITIL and Prince 2/PMP qualified to foundation level desirable
