Librarian Assistant

DEPARTMENT: Corporate Quality Assurance

JOB PURPOSE
Reports to the Corporate Librarian and responsible for assisting the Corporate Librarian in the custody of company manuals and operational documentation. She/he is responsible for assistance in ensuring the management and compliance of the organizational/corporate manual/document control, dissemination and retrieval as per company policy, procedures and regulatory requirement. Responsible for the development and maintenance of corporate library and Archives as per the company standards and requirements
Key Responsibilities
  • Custodian of all company operations and aircraft manuals and publications in the library and carries an inventory of all the manuals.
  • Complement and assist the Corporate Librarian in the following responsibilities:
  • Ensure availability of aircraft manuals and technical literature as may be demanded by various users.
  • Organize and classify manuals using recognized library procedures, which enable easy access to any particular manual.
  • Distribute to Manual users, enter and update the revision documents and revision list for manuals (Technical and Operations) in soft and hard copies held at stations e.g. line maintenance, hangar, engineering, planning office, line stations etc.
  • Ensures that manuals are amended and revision records entered in form Manual Status Form. The user shall sign the Manual Status Form to endorse the revision. The Librarian shall destroy all the obsolete copies both hard and soft copies.
  • Responsible to ensure permanent control of technical data by checking with the manufacturer for the latest revision status in collaboration with user departments.
  • Responsible for preparing and keeping a backup system (in CD form) of all the documents and maintenance data.
  • Maintain a Master distribution list which is guidance to all manual users on distribution entitlement.
  • Liaise with the Contracted printing company on all needs for printing documents as need arise.
  • Maintain Library surroundings in a clean condition free from dust and ensure manuals, technical literature and publications are stored in an orderly manner.
  • Maintaining records archives up to date and in an orderly manner.
  • Ensures cleanliness and orderly arrangement of the Library
  • Any other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor

Job Requirements
Education and Experience
  • A Diploma in Elementary Librarianship or documentation
  • At least 1 years experience in document control and librarianship
  • Training in Record Keeping and documentation
  • Training in Documentation and Control Procedures is added advantage
  • Experience in any reputable Institution with library or document control system.

Senior Manager, Marketing Loyalty & E-Commerce

Key tasks:
  • Develop the corporate identity and brand of RwandAir
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies for each market
  • Manage advertising campaigns and monitor effectiveness
  • Track and manage customer perception of the RwandAir brand
  • Define product delivery and service concepts
  • Develop and monitor brand guidelines and adherence
  • Actively develop a proactive approach to managing customer relations
  • Increase on-line sales via the website and contribute to revenue targets
  • Define, develop and implement RwandAir’s customer loyalty strategy to improve acquisition and retention of members.
  • Manage all operational functions of the scheme including budget management; customer services queries, management of stock items and development of customer facing materials.
  • Coordinate the in-flight magazine, ensure quality and timing deadlines with the publisher
  • Manage PR activities and events, be the prime point of contact for press/journalists

Required Education & Experience:
  • A University Degree in a related field such as Marketing and/or International Business
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in Marketing, of which at least 5 in a leadership position
  • Several years of experience in Loyalty
  • Knowledge of E-commerce, E-solutions, on-line payment and fraud prevention
  • Airline experience preferred, but not necessary
