Oxfam GB Human Resources Executive

Human Resources Executive £18,320 – £26,940 per annum plus Hotspot allowance of £1,530 Oxford
In the event of a humanitarian emergency, The Humanitarian HR team play a critical role in ensuring that Humanitarian Support Personnel are deployed to emergency responses as quickly as possible. Our Humanitarian HR department is a highly professional and efficient operation – would you like to join the team?

The role As an active member of the Humanitarian HR team, you’ll provide the day-to-day support that keeps the department running smoothly. That means supporting the wider team with Oxfam procedures and best practice standards, and getting involved in producing contracts, letters of employment and terms and conditions. You’ll also manage payroll issues and have the chance to research and manage improvement projects in a wide variety of areas. Beyond that, you’ll develop and run systems to make our HR reporting more efficient and be ready to take on more responsibility and rise to the challenge in the event of a humanitarian crisis.

What we’re looking for This is a great opportunity to build on your HR experience with a global organisation. You’ll bring us strong communication skills, a keen eye for detail and, ideally, a proven ability to manage projects. And, as well as being numerate and able to interpret management information, you’ll have a working knowledge of Microsoft packages and HR systems. You’ll also be a real team player: someone who’s ready to work closely with technical teams and international colleagues. Organised and logical, you’ll have the planning skills to manage your workload flexibly. And, of course, you’ll be as committed to making a difference as we are.

About Oxfam A simple, inescapable truth underlines everything we do at Oxfam. There’s enough wealth in this world to go around. It’s not unfortunate that people live in poverty. It’s unjustifiable. It’s not just their problem. It’s ours too. And with the right support, we can beat poverty and injustice. Thousands of people already commit their time and talents to our campaigning, humanitarian and long-term development projects. Now we’re looking for yours.
